VOTE! This Tuesday, August 13th is Wisconsin’s Primary Election

Posted on 8-12-2024

Voters who have not participated in early voting or absentee voting, are encouraged to head to the polls this Tuesday, August 13th, and cast their ballots.

As this is a Partisan Primary (in which you may only vote for candidates of one party), voters will be choosing each party’s candidates for the General Election to be held on Tuesday, November 5th, 2024.

SPECIAL NOTICE

You will see on your ballot that there are TWO elections for “Representative In Congress District 8.” The first one is to elect a representative to serve the unexpired term of Mike Gallagher – ending on January 3rd, 2025.  The second one, for a full term ending in 2027, does not appear immediately next, but appears after the primary for U.S. Senate.  Although this can be confusing, you need to vote TWICE in the 8th District Congressional race; once for the term ending January, 2025, and again for the term ending in 2027.

Statewide Referenda (2)

In addition to partisan offices, your ballot will give you the opportunity to vote either “Yes” or “No” on 2 referenda calling for changes in the State of Wisconsin’s constitution.

Other Items on Your Ballot

Based on your address, you may also have other offices listed on your ballot, such as:

Representative in the State Assembly
State Senator
District Attorney
County Clerk
County Treasurer
County Register of Deeds

Polling Locations are Open from 7am to 8pm, Tuesday, August 13th.
