Two Green Bay Police Officers Promoted to Ranks of Sergeant and Lieutenant
The Green Bay Police Department has announced the promotion of two of their officers to the ranks of Sergeant and Lieutenant. Sergeant Kris Thoreson, with 9 years of service with the Green Bay Police Department, has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant, and Officer Riley Peterson, also with 9 years of service in the GBPD, has been promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
“The Green Bay Police Department is made up of many well-qualified current and future leaders. The selection process for promotions is never an easy one as so many individuals who apply are qualified for promotions to high levels of responsibility. Please join me in congratulating these two members of the GBPD on their new positions,” said Green Bay Police Chief Chris Davis.
A promotion ceremony was held on Tuesday, January 10th, 2023, at the Green Bay Police Department Headquarters.
