Sun Country Airlines Resumes Popular Winter Destination Service
It’s summer in Wisconsin – what’s not to love? (Except for the rain!) Winter is probably the furthest thing from your mind. But here’s why you should be thinking ahead to your winter getaway: Starting on January 30, 2025, Sun Country Airlines will once again offer nonstop service to/from Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport (GRB) to Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers, Florida. If you book now – flights are as low as $79 each way. The flights are offered on Sundays and Thursdays.
“With this kind of pricing, families have the opportunity to fly directly to one of the key gateway cities in Florida for a little fun in the sun,” said Marty Piette, A.A.E., Airport Director. “Ft. Myers itself is a great destination and has a lot to offer vacationers, but if you’d rather go further south, it’s an hour or less to popular places like Bonita Springs, Naples, Marco Island and other areas.”
Sun Country has offered this seasonally based flight at GRB for the past three years.
“Sun Country once again offering this air service is a direct reflection of local support for the flights,” said Brown County Executive Troy Streckenbach. “We thank local travelers for supporting our airport and the airlines that serve it. It keeps the airport strong and is important to our local economy.”

If the timing or dates for these flights doesn’t work for you, there are affordable options to great U.S. and international destinations through GRB’s other airline partners, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Frontier Airlines, and United Airlines.
