RAYS Youth Services Program Coordinator, Michael Thomas Nominated for People of the Year Award
Posted on 2-10-2022
Foundations Health and Wholeness is celebrating RAYS Youth Services Program Coordinator, Michael Thomas, for his second nomination for Sheboygan’s People of the Year Award.
RAYS Youth Services is a youth-centered program that was acquired by Foundations at the beginning of 2021.
The program focuses on keeping all youth safe and help them gain life and independent living skills, gain social, emotional, and coping skills, as well an increase their positive community connections and relationships. By ensuring youth gain these skills, RAYS can help those youth successfully transition into adulthood.
Mike joined the RAYS program in late 2021, and he focuses on creating meaningful connections with all youth, and educating the community about RAYS resources and programming.
Outside of his work with RAYS, Mike is probably the busiest person we know.
He runs two amazing nonprofits, began his own church, coaches basketball for UW-Green Bay’s Manitowoc campus, and participates as a school board member for a private charter school. He is also a devoted husband and father.
