A free, 18-week training program for the Cellcom Green Bay Marathon

Prevea Training Runs will be back in 2020 to get participants ready for the Cellcom Green Bay Marathon on May 17. Prevea Health is proud to be the official health partner of the 2020 Cellcom Green Bay Marathon and is committed to helping participants of all fitness levels achieve success.

The first training run of the free, 18-week program will take place Saturday, Jan. 11 and continue every Saturday through May 9. Participants will meet at 7 a.m. at Badger State Brewing Company, 990 Tony Canadeo Run in Green Bay, for announcements and a group warm-up before the training run begins. Weekly routes vary in distance to accommodate runners’ training for the half or full marathon.

“Prevea Training Runs are part of a specialized program calculated to get you to the finish line,” said Mike LaMere, Prevea Training Runs Director. “We gradually increase the mileage throughout the program to help runners build the necessary physical and mental endurance they will need to complete their half or full marathon.”

Free water will be available along the course each week, and free injury screenings from Prevea Sports Medicine experts will also be available after each run. Gatorade will also be offered along the course starting February 1st.
