Notre Dame High School to Present “Bye Bye Birdie”

Posted on 12-27-2018

The year is 1958, and idolized rock star, Conrad Birdie, has just been drafted.

With high hopes of promoting their new song “One Last Kiss” and ultimately saving Almaelou Records from financial ruin, Birdie’s agent/song-writer, Albert, and his assistant, Rosie, devise a plan for Birdie’s final performance to take place on the Ed Sullivan Show! As a grand finale to this publicity stunt, Birdie will literally give “one last kiss” to lucky Conrad Birdie Fan Club member, Kim MacAfee, of Sweet Apple, Ohio.

When Albert and Rosie head to Sweet Apple to prepare for Birdie’s arrival, things start to unravel. While the teenage girls swoon, and even Kim’s father winds up starstruck at the thought of his family being featured on The Ed Sullivan Show, unfortunately Kim’s new steady, Hugo, isn’t thrilled with the thought of Kim kissing Conrad on national television. Will this sweet, small town survive the farewell tour of this larger than life rock star?

“WE LOVE YOU CONRAD, OH, YES WE DO…”
