Green Bay News Network Declares December Small Business Month
Also Suggests Extending “Giving Tuesday”
Last Saturday, we celebrated “Small Business Saturday,” as we do each year on the Saturday following Thanksgiving and “Black Friday.”
Given the unique and trying situations that businesses are facing in 2020, The Green Bay News Network is urging everyone in the Greater Green Bay community to consider the entire month of December as “Small Business Month.”
“We need to help our small businesses through this trying time, so we’re encouraging consumers to extend the enthusiasm of Small Business Saturday to the entire month when shopping for every day needs, Christmas presents, etc,” said Jim Rafter, Green Bay News Network President.

In a similar vein, The Green Bay News Network is reminding our readers and members that the needs of our local nonprofits didn’t go away at the end of “Giving Tuesday.”
In fact, this year, most nonprofits are in a very difficult position and in great need of resources (monetary donations, volunteers, household items, etc) due to the struggles of 2020.
We encourage you to consider the rest of December as an extension of Giving Tuesday. If we all do what we can to help – where and how we can — We Will Make a Difference!
