Green Bay Experiences Increase in Number of Vessels Entering Port

So far this season, 147 vessels have entered the Port of Green Bay: 128 were Lakers, 13 were Canadian flagged ships and 6 were foreign vessels. During that same period last year, 141 vessels had visited the Port.

The leading cargo during October was cement at 60,874 tons, with limestone coming in a close second at 60,424 tons. Other cargos during October included petroleum products (8,615 tons), coal (7,963 tons) and wood pulp (2,000 tons).

“We’re looking forward to a strong end to this year’s shipping season,” said Dean Haen, Port of Green Bay Director. “We’re grateful for the efforts of all involved in supporting Northeast Wisconsin’s strong economy.”
