Exceptional Equestrians Hosting 2nd Annual “Walk, Wheel, & Run” Event & Achievement Celebration
Exceptional Equestrians is excited to invite you to the 2nd annual Walk, Wheel & Run 1K event in conjunction with the Exceptional Equestrians & Country Kids Achievement Celebration!
Exceptional Equestrians, a 501(c)(3) organization, serves people with special needs throughout Wisconsin. Exceptional Equestrians is the only provider of hippotherapy north of Milwaukee. Client’s range in age from two to adult with physical and cognitive disabilities such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, down syndrome, brain injury, autism, sensory processing disorder and neuromuscular disorders.
Through the dedication of their clinicians, volunteers and generous donors, Exceptional Equestrians is one of the most comprehensive programs of its kind. Annually, they provide over 3,500 sessions and serve 250 families. Over 300 community members volunteer with 4,200 volunteer hours logged in 2020.
The “footprint” for clients coming to Exceptional Equestrians for services is growing and currently encompasses the following counties: Brown, Calumet, Door, Fond Du Lac, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Marathon, Marinette, Oconto, Outagamie, Shawano, Sheboygan, Washington, Waupaca, and Winnebago. Currently they are serving over 100+ youth a week.
At Exceptional Equestrians, no youth is denied services no matter their ability to pay. They offer assistance to the youth and their families with reduced fees to help with the cost of mental health and hippotherapy treatment.
