GREEN BAY, WI – It is with great excitement that Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity, in partnership with St. Norbert Abbey, announces the dedication of the 128th Habitat Home in Green Bay.
On Wednesday, May 23rd, the Maldonado Rubio family will receive the keys to their new home that will be sold to them with an affordable, 0% interest mortgage.
This collaboration is a special initiative celebrating the 900th anniversary of the founding of the Norbertine Order in France by St. Norbert of Xanten in 1121. Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity is one of the many organizations awarded a portion of Jubilee grants through the Norbertines Augustine Stewardship Fund.
“The Norbertines of St. Norbert Abbey are happy to have this opportunity to sponsor the building of a new home for the Maldonado Rubio Family,” said Abbot Dane Radecki, O. Pream. “We are grateful for the volunteers, especially the Norbertine employees and Associates, who spent time assisting in this build.”
Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity staff and volunteers will join the Maldonado family and friends and guests of St. Norbert Abbey at the dedication.
