Startup Week Wisconsin Kicks Off in Green Bay November 15th!
Startup Week Wisconsin, presented by LiveX, will be hosted across Greater Green Bay from November 15th-19th.
The week will feature a range of engaging events aimed at helping individuals and companies that make up Northeast Wisconsin’s growing startup and entrepreneurial ecosystem create meaningful connections, spur collaborations, and learn from some of the best business leaders the state has to offer.
“We want to connect entrepreneurs in our community to resources that will make them successful, and bringing like-minded individuals together spurs growth and innovation,” said Kelly Armstrong, vice president of economic development for the Greater Green Bay Chamber. “This week will not only showcase the progress Northeast Wisconsin’s startup community has made, but more importantly continue to build on that momentum as we look toward the future.”
This marks the third year that Greater Green Bay has participated in a statewide Startup Week, with last year’s events completed fully virtually. This year, virtual events will still be incorporated, while some events will return in person, and a new component — live streaming — will be available through the event’s presenting partner, LiveX, a live broadcast and streaming services company located in downtown Green Bay’s Rail Yard Innovation District.
The Week’s Signature Events Will Include:
Tech Bash (Monday, Nov. 15th, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.) – Get connected and celebrate the Greater Green Bay tech community with local meetup groups focused on tech, entrepreneurship, and innovation in Northeast Wisconsin at Badger State Brewing (990 Tony Canadeo Run, Green Bay). Registration is available here.
The Audible pitch event (Tuesday, Nov. 16, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.) – Watch as area entrepreneurs pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges for a chance to win up to $1,000 in prize money at the Urban Hub (340 N. Broadway St., Suite 200, Downtown Green Bay), and compete at the December 3 regional finale competition. Register to participate.
TechConnect reverse pitch event (Thursday, Nov. 18, 7 to 8:30 p.m.) – Are you a tech professional looking to join or advise an early-stage startup? TechConnect is your opportunity. Four startups pitch you, an audience of software developers and designers, and the founders’ “ask” is what they are looking for from a technical perspective. This is a great opportunity to collaborate with founders about co-founder, tech lead, or early employee opportunities. This event will be held virtually. Register to participate.
