Pickleball Players Descend on Allouez This Saturday for 1st Annual Take 5 Pickleball Tournament
Approximately 100 advanced and intermediate level Pickleball players from Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota have registered to play in the first annual Take 5 Pickleball Tournament, hosted by Doug’s Take 5 and Four Seasons Tennis Club – located at 3600 Riverside Drive in Allouez – this Saturday beginning at noon.
The tournament is broken down into Advanced and Intermediate brackets for both men and women.
There is a great deal of excitement for this tournament for many reasons. Pickleball is the nation’s fasted growing sport, because it is a sport anyone can play, has a low cost of entry, and is a very social game.
Pickleball is also a growing sport in the Greater Green Bay Area, with many new courts being constructed across the area over the last couple of years.
If you’d like to learn more about Pickleball or just see some great competition, plan to attend the tournament and watch Pickleball being played on 16 courts. A wall of floor-to-ceiling windows at the tennis center and in Doug’s Take 5 restaurant and bar, will provide a great viewing experience for all who attend.
