Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity Promotes Brenda Schwechler to Family Services Manager
Brenda Schwechler has accepted the position of Family Service Manager for Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity.
Schwechler’s abilities as a trusted leader, effective communicator, and successful collaborator were evident from the time she began volunteering with Habitat in 2015 as a Homeowner Advocate supporting families through the Homeownership Program.
In 2018, Brenda joined the staff as the Family Services Program Support Specialist where she was instrumental in defining the organization’s family application process, home visits, home buyer education curriculum, and readied all applicants for eligibility.
Schwechler has 26 years of experience working for Humana. In her last role, Brenda was Partnership Leader where she worked as a liaison between the business partners and overseas service partners.
Additionally, Schwechler developed strong, trusting relationships with the partners to drive company initiatives, performance improvements, and transition of work.
In her prior role as Operations Manager, she focused her efforts on staff development, process optimization, and attainment of department and company objectives.
Now, as the Family Service Manager, Schwechler takes on the added responsibility to directly take families through the process of homeownership with respect to mortgages, volunteer commitment, and budgeting.
She will also lead the Homeowner Support and Homeowner Selection sub-committees, create the department budget, work closely with the Construction team to make sure that the home is move-in ready for the families as they complete the necessary requirement, and manage home dedications.
Brenda has already completed her Mortgage Compliance training and the Loan Originator Agreement. She will lead her department with integrity, knowledge of our operation, belief in our mission, along with compassionate people skills working in unison with Habitat’s mission to bring people together for a better future.
