Pickleball, a (relatively) new sport, is taking Green Bay by storm, and a good example of the excitement around the fastest growing sport is the Packerland Super Bowl of Pickleball Tournament  – being held at Four Seasons Tennis Club located at 3600 Riverside Drive in Allouez this Saturday, January 18th.

Approximately 60 pickleball enthusiasts from around our area will descend on the courts to compete in Women’s Doubles and Men’s Doubles Brackets at both the Intermediate and Advanced levels.  The women kickoff the fun at 8:00 am and the men start at approximately 1:00 pm.

You can plan to spend the whole day at the club, as Doug’s Take 5, a favorite restaurant / bar in the Four Seasons Club, will open early to accommodate the players and guests.  Take 5 will be open from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm on Saturday.

Besides their delicious menu of burgers, soups, and favorite sandwiches, Doug is adding Chicken Salad sandwiches and Sloppy Joes.  In honor of the Pickleball tournament, Take 5 will be featuring Pickle-Laden Bloody Mary’s for those who are so inclined.

If you’ve heard of pickleball but never experienced the excitement, stop in at the tournament for what promises to be a great day with lots of good play and socializing.
