Greater Green Bay Habitat For Humanity to Dedicate Faith Build Home December 13th
Posted on 12-12-2019
For another Brown County family, the dream of homeownership has become reality.
Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity celebrates the completion of our 117th home built in partnership with the homeowners, the Hernandez family. The home was also the 2019 Faith Build for the Green Bay affiliate.
A Faith Build is an annual opportunity for Habitat and faith-based communities to partner and build a home for a family through prayer, volunteerism, and financial support.
A dedication at 1146 S. Greenwood Avenue in Green Bay is scheduled for Friday, December 13th at 9:30 a.m. The event is open to the public. Please join us for a Holiday Celebration Open House from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.
Habitat’s 2019 Lead Faith Partner was Thrivent Financial, who generously matched $65,000 donated to Habitat by local faith organizations: Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of Green Bay, Atonement Lutheran Church, Knights of Columbus No. 7498, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Womens Guild, Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church WELCA, First Congregational United Church of Christ, Our Saviour Lutheran Church, St. Norbert Abbey Augustine Stewardship Fund Trust, and Union Congregational UCC.
“Thanks to God every day for a new day and blessing me with three awesome kids. I want to provide a place for them.” – Karleen Hernandez
