Habitat for Humanity ReStore Still Looking for DIY Enthusiasts to help with “RePurpose for a Reason” Fundraiser
The Green Bay ReStore is looking for DIY enthusiasts and creative community members to channel their imagination for RePurpose for a Reason.
RePurpose for a Reason is a Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity fundraiser on Thursday, November 14 at Badger State Brewing. The event is open to the public and features raffle items and live music. Money raised goes back to Habitat to build homes, communities, and hope in Brown County.
The highlight of the event is the silent auction, which consists of repurposed, refurbished, or art-based items that have been created by DIY-ers and creative community members. Many of the items feature treasures that were originally found at the Green Bay ReStore.
Interested in channeling your imagination? There are two ways to contribute an item:
Create an item on your own and donate it to the event to be auctioned off.
“Check out” a piece from the ReStore (2965 Ramada Way) valued up to $70, repurpose it, then return the item to be auctioned off.
Finished items must have a minimum value of $40 and can be dropped at the NEW ReStore (1967 Allouez Avenue) between October 21 and November 1.
